ANAMORPH works its way into the mind of a reclusive detective (Willem Dafoe) as he is drawn into the case of a serial killer enacting anamorphosis - a painting technique that manipulates the laws of perspective - only with human bodies. As Dafoe digs he is thrust into a dark, unsettling underworld that threatens to reveal the secrets of his tormented past. ANAMORPH is the work of an auteur: director H.S. Miller views it as the first step in developing a body of work reflecting his interest in the intersection of human behavior, intellectual history and visual design at 24 frames per second.
Rated R for disturbing grisly images, some violence and language.
Released by IFC Films. See more credits.
